Cruiser Haven Marina is nestled in a secluded, private 30-acre cove on Old River along the San Joaquin Delta in Brentwood, California — just minutes from Discovery Bay and Ski Beach. We offer covered boat slip rentals in a sheltered, secure environment with 3-minute access to fast water.
Under new ownership since July 2021, we've been on a mission to bring back the beauty and quaint community spirit that has made Cruiser Haven a beloved Delta destination. Our staff is friendly, responsive, and genuinely passionate about everything boating.

1800s
A Barge Loading Pier
The cove at Cruiser Haven has roots dating back to the late 1800s, when it originally served as a loading and unloading pier for barges that transferred goods and services to the outlying communities of the Delta. The waterway was a lifeline for the region long before recreational boating was even a concept.
Early 1900s
The Railway Era
As shipping infrastructure evolved, the cove transitioned to support the railway network that connected Delta communities. Goods moved through this very location, making it a quiet but essential hub in the region's agricultural and commercial story.
1950
Cruiser Haven Marina Opens
With the shift in shipping necessities, the cove found a new purpose. Cruiser Haven Marina was established in 1950, transforming this historic waterway into a cozy refuge for active boaters and a prime hideaway for those seeking peace on the water.
2021
A New Chapter Begins
In July 2021, Richard Sellers took ownership with a clear mission: restore the beauty, quaint culture, and community spirit that made Cruiser Haven special. Under his stewardship, the marina has undergone significant improvements and the feedback from the boating community has been tremendous.
MEET THE OWNERRichard Sellers
As a native to the area with 30 years of experience boating the Delta, Richard Sellers brings something most marina owners can't offer: he's genuinely one of you. An avid water skier, wakeboarder, and fisherman, Richard lives and breathes everything the Delta has to offer.
When he took ownership of Cruiser Haven Marina in July 2021, his vision was clear — bring back the beauty and quaint environment the marina was known for, while building a culture of fun, safety, and community on the water. In a short time, he's done exactly that.
The changes have been real and visible. The grounds are clean, the staff is attentive, the security is dependable, and the sense of community is growing every season. Richard is approachable, knowledgeable, and always happy to help fellow boaters — whether you're a first-timer or a Delta veteran.
